Building a Soccer Field in Vicos, Peru

World Through Soccer Vicos Peru fundraisingLauren Barnes Seattle Reign with kidsSoccer brings the world together! We are partnering with two pro soccer players from the Seattle Reign, Elli Reed and Lauren Barnes, who will join us on annual youth service learning programs offering friendship, advice and soccer clinics in remote areas around the world. In partnership with local communities, we will bring the student volunteers and the funds to buy materials, and rely on the locals to provide the land and labor.

Our first program in this series is Peru: The World Through Soccer program, which runs in the Fall of 2017. We are raising funds to cover the cost of building a new soccer field in the rural Andean village of Vicos, Peru for underpriviledged youth. Once the field is built, it will be maintained by the community. We also plan on bringing a lot of donated gear including jerseys, shorts, balls and shoes.

Fundraising goal for the Vicos Soccer Field: $16,000
