Moina Shaiq Meet a Muslim Seattle Crooked Trails

Moina Shaiq Meet a Muslim Seattle Crooked TrailsAt Crooked Trails, we are passionate about bringing people together to broaden understanding of the world’s many cultures and beliefs.  We believe that experience informs perspective — not just when you travel, but also in your own community. As part of our educational mission, we are honored to launch the “Meet a Muslim” event series in the Seattle area from January 18th – 22nd.

Meet a Muslim is an initiative started by Moina Shaiq after the San Bernadino shooting incident in 2015 to create a forum of dialogue in a safe place where people can ask questions free of fear. Moina travels around the country to share her story as an ‘ordinary’ Muslim in America, who is also a mother, a long-time California resident, a woman and a caring human being.

Moina bravely states that she will answer any question, and promises not to be offended. She’s successfully delivered this message of respect, understanding and acceptance to thousands of people. Now we will continue that mission in our local community. Please see the schedule below and join us at one of these family-friendly events!

“There is no us and them, we are all in it together.” — Moina Shaiq
